Why we made the change
Some customers let us know that in a few cases, flat and everyday laundry as well as the folded laundry from the EASY service – had a slightly unpleasant smell when removed from the laundry bag. After careful investigation, we discovered the reason: the airtight film we previously used didn’t allow for any airflow. As a result, residual moisture in the laundry couldn’t escape. The outcome? A faint but noticeable odour, especially during warmer weather in summer or extended storage.
Because your satisfaction means everything to us, we knew immediately: a better solution was needed.
The new packaging: breathable, refined and sustainable
From now on, we’re using a new packaging method for the following services:
- Flat laundry from the “Mix & Match” offer
- Everyday laundry from the “Mix & Match” offer
- Folded laundry from the “EASY” offer
Instead of airtight plastic, your clean laundry will now be carefully wrapped in breathable tissue paper. The new material allows any remaining moisture to escape – leaving no room for unpleasant odours. At the same time, it gives your laundry a more elegant look and conveys a sense of care and attention to detail.
It’s more than just about appearances – it’s a quality upgrade you can feel.
Raising the bar for your experience
With this new packaging, we aim to take your overall experience with us to the next level. For us, great service isn’t just about clean laundry – it’s about thoughtful, seamless moments from pickup to unpacking. The fresh scent, the soft rustle of the paper, the tidy presentation – it’s these little things that make the difference.
And because sustainability remains a core priority: while our previous bioplastic film was biodegradable, it wasn’t the best solution in this specific case. The new tissue paper is fully recyclable and can also be returned to us for proper disposal.
We’ll continue to use the bioplastic film for hanging garments to protect them during transport.
